What is different about a memorial dearling.
The page is quiet
No confetti when the paper tears, two soft notes instead of a chime, and it asks them to untie the ribbon rather than pull it down. Then the animal is there, and your message is under it.
It is that animal, not the breed
The model is built from the photograph you upload, so the markings and the shape are the ones they know. That is also the part worth being careful about, and there is more on it below.
The room is optional
The page has a button that stands the pet on a real table through the phone camera. Some people will find that too much and never press it. It is there if they want it and easy to leave alone.

Choose the photograph
The one that looks most like the animal they remember. Older photographs are often small ones, and a small photograph is harder to build from, so use the largest version you still have.

Look at the two portraits
They come back in about fifteen seconds and cost nothing. This is where you decide whether the likeness is close enough to send. If it is not, stop here.

Write what you want to say
The page carries the animal name, your name and a short message. Short is usually right. The message can also be left empty.

The 3D is built after you order and takes a few minutes. You send the link yourself, whenever the moment is right.

Things worth knowing first.
It might not be close enough
That is the honest risk, and it is why the two portraits come first and cost nothing. If the face is not right, do not send it. Nobody will ask you to.
Old photographs are harder
Small, soft, dark or half out of frame all make the build worse, and very dark fur is the hardest of all. We say what we noticed about your photograph before you pay.
It is a screen, not an object
There is nothing to hold and nothing arrives in the post. If what they would want is something physical, this is not the right gift and a printed portrait probably is.
You may decide not to send it
A 3D version of an animal that died is a lot for some people. Make the portraits first, look at them, then decide. That step costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

Questions people ask.
Is the gift page different for a memorial?
Yes. Choosing the memorial occasion changes the wrapping, the sound, the greeting and the wording throughout. Nothing bursts out of the parcel, and nothing on the page treats the day as a celebration.
What photograph should I use?
The clearest one, in daylight, with as much of the body in frame as possible. If you only have one photograph and it is not ideal, upload it and look at the free portraits before you commit to anything.
What if the likeness is wrong?
Then do not send it. The two portraits come before payment for exactly this reason. If you have already ordered and the 3D came back wrong, tell us and we build it again.
Do they need an app?
No. It opens in the browser on any phone, with nothing to install and no account to make. That matters when you are sending something to someone who is not in the mood to sign up for anything.
Can I send it without a message?
Yes. The message can be short or left empty. For some people the name and nothing else is the right amount.
How long does it take?
The portraits take about fifteen seconds. The 3D is built after you order and takes a few minutes. You do not have to send the link the moment it is ready.
Can they stand it in the room?
If they want to. Through the phone camera it sits on a real table and stays where it is put. It is one button on the page, and nothing happens unless they press it.
Can they print it?
Yes. There is a card that prints at home on any printer with the animal on the front, and pointing a phone camera at the paper brings the animal up out of it. Some people print the card and never use the camera part.
